"Bee At Home In Decatur" NPW 2018 is a Wrap!

What a week! By working together, the Beecatur committee planned and put on a great National Pollinator Week 2018 celebration. Thank you for all your efforts.

Thanks to everyone who came to one or more of our events. We hope you enjoyed them and learned a little something about pollinators and their importance to our eco-system.

The success of the event could not have been possible without the generous time and talented donated by our presenters and host venues! Thanks to Katy Ross (Night Song Native Plant Nursery), Pandra Williams (Beech Hollow Wildflower Farm), Sylvia Cross (Sycamore Place Art Gallery & Studios), Stephanie Van Parys and Sarah Dasher (Wylde Center's Edgewood Learning Garden), Sara Holmes (Decatur Active Living / Scott Park Community Garden), Kathryn Kolb (Eco Addendum), Jill Lyerly (Savannah Bee Company), and Elizabeth Rowe (Agnes Scott College’s Department of Environmental Sustainability).

Many thanks to our supportive Decatur business partners who served as featured stops on our Great Pollinator Scavenger Hunt and supplied prizes for our winners: Revolution Doughnuts, Savi Provisions, Little Shop of Stories, The Corner Pub, Kavarna Coffee, Butter & Cream Ice Cream, Dairy Queen, Greene’s Fine Foods and A Splash of Olive.

Thank to Decatur mayor Patti Garrett and the Decatur City Commission for their official city proclamation declaring June 18 - 24 as National Pollinator Week here in Decatur.

And last, but not least, thanks to Bartlett Tree Experts whose generous financial sponsorship allowed us to present and publicize all of our National Pollinator Week programming.
